Connections and Community Lead to Change

I started 2026 with a goal to make more connections outside of social media. Networking and building referrals had not been a big part of my business plan in past years, but the experience has been rewarding beyond my expectations.
The connections I have made have transformed my professional and personal life. One of my favorite outcomes has been the creation of my Zoom coaching group, The Wellness Waterfall, designed for moms and women seeking wellness support. This post explores how building connections and community can positively impact your wellness journey and how you can join us (Register Here: https://www.wixforms.com/f/7397343881727050792).

Why Connection Matters in Wellness
Wellness is often seen as a personal journey, but when we connect with others, we gain more than just social interaction. We can find motivation, empathy, and new perspectives that help us overcome obstacles and move forward with our goals.
Here’s why connection works:
Share Your Story (And Hear Others)
Hearing others’ stories helps us realize we are not alone. Whether it’s a success or a struggle, shared experiences create a sense of belonging and normalcy.
Accountability
Setting goals with a group and checking in regularly increases commitment. Knowing others are rooting for us pushes us to keep going.
Perspective Shifts
Different approaches to wellness open our minds to new ideas and solutions we might not have considered.
Emotional Support
Life is full of ups and downs. Having a supportive community provides comfort and encouragement during tough times.
How I Stepped Out of My Comfort Zone
At the start of 2026, I set a professional goal to expand my network and build referrals. This included reaching out to others to connect, attending events, and engaging with people I didn’t know well. It was uncomfortable at first, but the benefits quickly became clear:
I love hearing others’ experiences and have gained insights to improve my approach to wellness coaching.
Celebrating wins with others creates a positive energy that fuels my motivation.
Sharing challenges allows me to receive advice and support, making obstacles easier to face.
This positive impact inspired me to create a dedicated space for moms and women to connect and focus on wellness together.
The Wellness Waterfall: A Community for Moms & Women
The Wellness Waterfall is a monthly Zoom coaching group designed to bring moms and women together. Each session includes a short presentation on a wellness topic, followed by a check-in on goals set the previous month and setting a new focus for the month ahead.
What Makes This Group Special?
Focused Topics
Each session covers a specific area of health and wellness, such as nutrition, stress management, physical activity, or sleep and recovery.
Goal Setting and Accountability
Members share their goals, progress, & challenges. This creates a supportive space that encourages follow-through.
Motivation and Curiosity
The group sparks curiosity about wellness and motivates members to try new things.
Feedback from Participants
The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Women report feeling:
More motivated to pursue their wellness goals
Curious about new health practices
Supported emotionally by others who understand their experiences
Inspired by fresh perspectives on wellness
